…The Garden…

(Founding Thoughts of FCXO)

We have poured and invested in relationships that are authentic yet nonreciprocal.

Welcomed “no-expectation” practices in the pursuit of freedom, and then found ourselves entangled in a reckless love with no resolve.

We have opened our hearts to love without judgement, shared in raw truths, inspired broken spirits to become whole, and as those we love arrive, it is often without us.

Please know:

  • To love, to inspire, to grow, and to give, like this, is not failure.

  • To experience journeys with others that end in their absence, is not failure.

In the last week I have laughed hard with my brother at wild stories of unapologetic-living, wept deeply with my sister as parts of her shattered facing violent truths, held silence as my friend unraveled his need for validation and been swept by the undercurrent of peace, overwhelming love, and assurance.

We are all moving on familiar ground, engaging in familiar wars, and wielding tools (both new & old) when it comes to owning peace and accepting change.

Conversations had are not to be diagnosed, but breathed, felt, heard, understood and kept…treasured.

A shift to intentionally cultivating authentic, reciprocal, and uncapped relationship, needs to happen.

Where relationships are understood as a walk through ones garden, together; exploring and turning every rock, catching every bloom, and letting the rain wash away what is meant to go.”
